This was a large object that I had designed for a puzzle solving prop. The main direction by the game designer was to create a large center piece object with a mechanical gyroscopic function that has 4 stages to complete a puzzle. In my design, rather than having your typical gyroscope rings, I proposed the idea of using a hollowed out sphere with 4 layers within it. Upon 1st glance the player will notice an abstract sculpture and will be tasked to solve a puzzle. This puzzle will have 4 stages (layers). Each layer, just like an onion, within itself would reveal part of a pattern. Once all 4 stages of the layered puzzle is complete it would reveal a pattern of an owl. One of many symbols of the Court of Owls throughout the game.
